PANCH SUTRA FOUNDATION
Panch Sutra Foundation is a Section 8 non-profit organization based in Bokaro, Jharkhand, working towards social, economic, and environmental sustainability. Established with the vision of building a climate-resilient and inclusive society, the foundation empowers rural and mining-affected communities through education, skill development, livelihood innovation, women and youth empowerment, and climate action.
Our initiatives include Ujjwal Bhavishya for quality education and digital literacy, Damodar Bachao Abhiyan for river and water conservation, and Balika Samriddhi Abhiyan to support the education and development of girls. By promoting mahua-based products, strengthening women’s Self-Help Groups, and encouraging organic and climate-smart farming, we create sustainable livelihood opportunities while addressing malnutrition and poverty.
Through community leadership programs, just transition campaigns, and partnerships with CSR institutions, panchayats, and grassroots networks, we amplify local voices in policy dialogue and drive meaningful change. Guided by the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), Panch Sutra Foundation strives to protect nature, empower people, and shape a sustainable future for generations to come.
Aim Of Panch Sutra Foundation
Panch Sutra Foundation aims:- to create a just, inclusive, and climate-resilient society by empowering marginalized communities and protecting natural resources. Our purpose is to bridge the gap between development and sustainability, ensuring that rural and mining-affected populations are not left behind in the journey toward progress.
We aim to provide quality education and skill development opportunities that prepare children and youth for a brighter future, while also promoting women’s empowerment through self-help groups and income-generating activities. By fostering alternative livelihoods based on local resources like mahua, organic farming, and green energy, we aim to reduce dependency on coal and build sustainable economic models.
Our environmental aim is to conserve Jal–Jungle–Zameen (water, forest, and land) through climate action campaigns, river conservation, tree plantation, and just transition initiatives. At the same time, we work to improve health, nutrition, and sanitation, ensuring holistic development of women and children.
Ultimately, our aim is to align community-driven development with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), creating equal opportunities, reducing poverty, and ensuring dignity, prosperity, and sustainability for all.
